The rough pencils for a....well, it's a long story, but this thing may or may not end up as a magazine cover.

(yeah, yeah, it's more Serenity bullshit, shaddup already.)

There is just one teeny tiny potential problem with it : In this penciled rough and this particular view the Serenity looks too angular. Yes, I know, the Serenity is an angular ship in places. But in the series we see it flying, which gives a lot of sense to its half bird half insect design. The CG action in the series gives a flowing “animal” feel even to the angular parts. You risk losing that.

oh dear. Why did I immediately think "STAR WARS" when I saw the sketch? It makes much more sense for Serenity, but still... Starrr Waaarrrs. /whine.

Awesome XD I <3 Firefly. Already saw the movie and it's awesome! Will be seeing it 2 more times at the very least (including red carpet premiere!! XD)

I agree that you capture the characters well... but is it me or is there a Kaylee missing or did I just miss her due to my squee-ing? =P
